Do you make more than just closets?

Yes!  The same system, techniques,  and materials we use to make beautiful, cost conscious closet systems, can also be used to make “cabinetry” for lots of spaces in and around your home and business, including mudrooms, garages, pantries, Home Offices, home entertainment areas, man caves and she sheds, and even kitchens!  Browse our gallery to see some of the possibilities!

Do you offer custom design?

Yes!  All of our closet and storage solutions are custom, however our streamlined design and manufacturing process keeps them reasonably priced

Do you have a showroom?

We have display areas within our workshop which highlight many of the options and benefits of our storage systems,  and we also invite you to browse our website as a virtual showroom. We can provide additional images of work we’ve performed, as well as show you examples of our materials and construction methods as well. You’re more than welcome to visit our facility, 10 minutes west of Asheville, NC, to see everything we do, in person – We’re excited to give you a tour, introduce you to our crew, and meet the folks who will craft your project

What is Thermally Fused Laminate?

You see Thermally Fused Laminate, TFL, every day in the world around you. It’s what the cabinetry at your Doctor’s office is made of;  What the displays at the grocery store are made from; And what the majority of commercial display fixtures  and case goods are created from, because it is very durable and can withstand the rigors of a commercial and industrial environment.  If you have a laminate floor in your home or office, you’re actually standing on TFL right now!  Thermally Fused Laminate, TFL,  Decorative Panels are made by fusing a resin-based laminate directly to a substrate.  It’s the same process used with super tough laminate floors.  Our TFL panels are durable and economical, and a healthy,  green product! 

Our Closet and Storage systems are made from  3/4″ thick commercial strength, engineered TFL panels.   TFL is super durable, and has non porous surfaces, which is very healthy and helps prevent dangerous microbes,  bacteria, and mold.  The reason TFL panels are the panel of choice in Hospitals and Health Care applications is because they are so healthy for you.   Our TFL Panels are environmentally healthy Green products, with many of them qualifying for LEED credits, being Greenguard certified, and being infused with Silver Ion antimicrobial 

Does GPD install the closets and storage solutions?

Yes and no..  Well, what does that mean???   We typically include installation in our pricing, and take care of this for you. However, several of our clients have chosen to install on their own, and we’re happy to produce a project for you and this scenario

Do you offer DIY packages?

Yes – We have several “closet starter” packages that are ready to be installed by a novice do it yourselfer, and we can design and fabricate a complete roomful of storage solutions for installation by a carpenter of homeowner with moderate DIY skills

What areas do you service?

Everywhere! Most of our work is within the Asheville, NC region, however we can flat pack and ship to locations across the united states.

Do you do more than just closets?

Yes!  GPD Closets is a division of Gregory Paolini Design LLC – We’re a full service custom cabinetry and millwork shop.  We can make custom furniture pieces, as well as several different tiers of cabinetry to fit most budgets

What is your average lead time?

We typically fulfil and install closet and storage system orders within two weeks of your final approval .

Do you have anything in stock?

It’s very rare, since we are a custom shop, which means that no project is built until an order is placed.  However, we can usually fulfil closet and storage orders within two weeks

Where is the GPD Woodshop located?

Our one and only workshop is located in Canton, NC. Please contact us for directions, and one of our craftsmen would be happy to give you a tour of our workshop.
